Do I have to pay extra for my End of Year Accounts?

No. After you choose the services you require during the quotation process, we shall include the end of year accounts.  The services to choose from are – Bookkeeping, Payroll, Tax Returns, Management Accounts, Budgeting and  VAT.

Who deals with my accounts?

We allocate staff in who will understand your business needs.

How often do I send the records to you?

Ideally we expect you to send the information to us quarterly.  We shall discuss this after you sign up to our services – it may vary according to your business needs. We work flexibly so that you have a choice.  We prefer to receive information for VAT in good time, a minimum of 10 working days before the deadline for submission.

How far are you?

In this day age, distance is no longer a barrier.  Our clients are all over the UK.  We have clients as far as in the US, Canada and the UAE.  With the internet working has become so easy.  We have cloud based software and can get documents singed without you having to leave your home, office etc.  These days the accounts will even come to your phone!

Do I have to come to the office and meet you face to face to join Strictly Accounts?

Not at all.  We deal with most of our clients via emails. Once you decide to go ahead with our services, we communicate by telephone or email to get all the information we may need from you and provide you with an opportunity to ask further questions.  Of course we will provide you with telephone or email support as part of the service.

How do I send my documents?

Three ways

  • By email
  • By post
  • Both by email and post – some of the information such as bank statements can be downloaded electronically, so they are emailed.

Can I join at any time during my financial year?

Yes you can.  It is worth noting that your accounts might need to be brought up to date.  If this is the case, work needs to be done to bring your records up to date and a payment will be required for the relevant period.

This is due to the fact that accounts can only be completed if all the information is available for a period of 12 months.

I have paid my accountant in full, can I just wait for them to complete the work I have paid for before I can change?

Change can happen at any time.  This requires a unique approach.  That is why when you join us, we look to see what has been paid for.  If the work is yet to be done, the previous accountant can hand that over to us to complete, which means you get a refund and you avoid paying double!  Some accountants will update the records up to the date when you leave.  This is why we liaise with them on your behalf.

Our approach is to hold your hand through all the situations that may arise until you are satisfied with the outcome.

We shall discuss this when you book a FREE, no obligation meeting, where we review your business circumstances.  We shall offer you a fixed fee quote which will stand for 90 days.

How easy is it to switch from one accountant to another?

After you decide to go ahead with Strictly Accounts, we shall be able to contact the previous accountant.  You will not need to communicate the decision to your previous accountant.  This eases your process and avoids any awkward conversation.

We shall write a clearance letter to them notifying them about your appointment of our firm to deal with your tax affairs and they will be able to provide us with all the relevant information, books and records they hold.
There is guidance from all professional bodies about when and how each accounting firm should deal with this process.

Will my former accountant charge for the switch over

Generally speaking, if the fees up to date, there is no charge

How can I use your services?

We are here to make this a hassle free process giving you the confidence and peace of mind to focus on your work.  Once you agree to come on board, our aim is to start the process of obtaining information from your existing accountant with your permission.  Normally we make this task something that would require minimal effort on your part.

Fixed Fee Pricing

We have a transparent pricing system.  All our fees are agreed and fixed at the outset.  They are payable monthly by direct debit.  Paying in instalments by Direct Debit can help with cashflow and the majority of our clients like this option.

During our consultation, we go over your business needs.  Different businesses have different accountancy and tax requirements.  When create a procedure to complete your work in the most efficient manner that suits your business.
